Students, please note that most or your peers will begin looking this December 2009 and January 2010 to locate housing for Fall 2010. In order to get all or most of your housing preferences, we suggest that you begin looking early, too!
The resources provided below include: 1) Electronic Message Boards (post or search for ads), 2) Local Rental Company Information, 3) Local Newspaper Classified Ads, 4) Realtors, 5) Craig's List, 6) Map of Boone, and 7) Map of Local Bus Routes.

Electronic Message Boards
Use these boards to search for and/or post information about available housing. They are located on the Homepage below the Main Menu List on the left side. (Scroll down to view.) The boards are divided by semester (Spring, Summer, Fall) and category (Roommates, Subleases, and Rentals). Additionally, there is a board for "Faculty/Staff/Family Housing" and "For Sale" housing. To post an advertisement, click on the message board of your choice, and click the button at the top labeled "Submit Topic". Follow the prompts. Once completed, click on submit and your ad will immediately post to the website. Posts are generally removed after 30 days.
Rental CompaniesUse this information to contact local rental companies to inquire about the location, cost and availability of off-campus housing.
Newspaper Classified Ads
Use these links to look for housing advertisements that may not be listed elsewhere. The newspapers can be a good source for locating housing opportunities offered by local community members.
Realtors
Use this link to retrieve contact information for local realtors through the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce website. Realtors often have information regarding rental properties that may not be listed in other locations.

Map of Boone (interactive)Use this map during your housing search to determine your proximity to campus. This mapquest map enables you to zoom in and out and search for local addresses. ASU's campus is highlighted in purple.

Map of Local Bus Routes
Use these maps during your housing search to determine your proximity to the AppalCart routes. We strongly suggest that students live on or near the bus route, particulary if they do not own a car. These maps will not only provide an overview of the routes, but the specific times and locations for pick-up.
