Students were asked - what is the most important thing to know about this rental company?

  1. This property does not offer any amenities other than trash pickup and water. Excellent location, but few amenities for the cost.
  2. No bus stops in walking distance of apartment, so having a car is a must.
  3. The proximity and not having to pay for parking is great! The dryers and washers are not that good. Consider clean clothes when searching.
  4. Only 6 apartments in the building, quiet, 5 min drive to campus and appalcart stop nearby, washer/dryer.
  5. The landlord is very nice, but she does not always respond right away. The maintenance crew is also very polite.
  6. They are very hard to get accepted into due to pre-leasing, start searching ahead of time.
  7. Very close to campus but also very noisy. Landlord is ok, but complex gets messy outside with glass and cans. Lots of people around.
  8. If not on third floor, you will hear everything the person in apt above you does (cry, bathroom, walking, everything).
  9. Very responsive landlord. Nothing fancy (in my experience at Countryside Apts.), but a better value than you will get most places. (Countryside Apartments)
  10. Sofield is a great small company! Their units are old, but cheap. Also, most do not allow pets!
