Campus Community Connections: Supporting Off-Campus Student Health and Wellness
On June 19, we hosted the "Campus Community Connections: Supporting Off-Campus Student Health and Wellness" program, fostering collaboration between the University and local rental companies. This initiative aimed to equip rental companies with insights into student trends and issues, provide access to essential resources, and enhance their ability to respond to concerns and incidents related to mental health and substance use. The rental companies, in turn, shared valuable information about their procedures and protocols -- and situations they encounter when working with student tenants.
We want to express our appreciation to the rental companies that participated, including Boone High Country Rentals, HCI Properties, Holton Mountain Rentals, Mountaineer Village, Rivers Walk/ Peak of Boone, Sofield Properties, Studio West, University Highlands, and Village of Meadowview. Your commitment to understanding and supporting our student community is invaluable in building a healthier, more responsive off-campus environment for our students.
