Off-campus housing presentations scheduled for fall semester!

Off-Campus Student Services will provide three convenient opportunities for students currently living in the residence halls to learn about off-campus housing by attending a 45 minute Zoom presentation. The first virtual presentation is on October 2 at 4 p.m. (Links to register on Engage below)

In-person programs will also be taking place on-site in many of the residence halls this fall.  On-site programs will have snacks and giveaways (including our popular silicone spatulas!), so be on the lookout for an announcement from your res. hall staff.

Campus Community Connections: Supporting Off-Campus Student Health and Wellness

On June 19, we hosted the "Campus Community Connections: Supporting Off-Campus Student Health and Wellness" program, fostering collaboration between the University and local rental companies. This initiative aimed to equip rental companies with insights into student trends and issues, provide access to essential resources, and enhance their ability to respond to concerns and incidents related to mental health and substance use. The rental companies, in turn, shared valuable information about their procedures and protocols -- and situations they encounter when working with student tenants.

What you Need to Know about Summer Sublets

Are you subletting your apartment for the summer? If so, here are some important tips:

What's a subletter?  A subletter is a substitute tenant who lives in your apartment (or rental house) and pays your share of the rent for a period of time when you’re not living there. Most leases allow subletting, but usually require notification and approval by the landlord. Check your lease and talk to your landlord before arranging a summer sublet! Sometimes, the other tenants in the apartment must also approve the subletter before the landlord will allow that person to move in.
